Manchester Canoe Club
Lee Valley
Alex Rubin came up with the idea first - a trip to Lee Valley just to get assessed for the Olympic course - and booked himself onto a course, and then pursuaded some others of us that it was a good idea. I wasn't convinced, a whole day just to get someone to tell you that you are competent to paddle down a man-made course, even if it is the Olympic slalom course.

Welcome
Welcome to Manchester Canoe Club.
Manchester Canoe Club is one of the oldest Canoe Clubs in Great Britain. It was founded in 1933, and since then has been involved in the development of the sport, particularly in the areas of river touring on both placid water and white water, and the competitive disciplines of White Water Racing and Canoe Slalom.
Our aim is to enable people of all types and ages to enjoy paddling safely on moving water and to improve their skills by providing a community of like minded people.
Pool Sessions 2012
The nights are drawing in, but don’t despair, the baths sessions at Hazel Grove Swimming Pool return on Sunday 7th October 2012, with the last session on Sunday 31st March 2013. There will be two 45 minute open sessions every Sunday (excluding 23rd and 30th December), starting at 7:10pm and 7:55pm. We will also be running several (5 week) Beginner and (4 week) Rolling courses at the same times.
